Book Description
The Sign of the Sword is a high fantasy novel blending the imagery of Arthurian myth and high fantasy with elements of theology. Following the death of a friend, four American teenagers and their teacher take a carriage ride through the forest one icy night and find themselves in an alien realm of beauty and terror. Within an hour of their arrival, they are chased by silver-eyed soldiers, attacked by a werewolf, and rescued by a ragged stranger who claims to be the heir to King Arthur's throne. Their only hope of returning home seems to lie in aiding Ambrose Pendragon in defeating the armies of Samhain the daemon-lord and restoring the kingdom of Camelot. Haunted by guilt, sorrow, and the bittersweet memories of their friend, Arthur, Lance, Chris, and Angie find themselves facing a being who can reach into their minds and use their own weaknesses against them.
