Book Description
Loki and Jamira follow Seishinja to the peaceful village of Risan, far from the war. They find Madara living as a peaceful villager and entreat him to return to the battle to defeat his own father, Emperor Miroku, but he refuses. Then, old man Sukne reveals the presence of another Kusanagi sword, the Maken Kusanagi, and claims that if the two swords are combined, their power could determine the outcome of the war. Now that the Emperor and his army know about the two swords, they determine to kill the two rebels and take the weapons. But Madara must face someone with matching powers who proves to be his greatest opponenthis own brother, Kageo. Kageo tries to kill Madara and capture both the Shinken Kusanagi and the Maken Kusanagi. With Madara dead and the two swords of power in the hands of the enemy, things look bleak indeed.
