Michael Parker is the author of two previous novels and a collection of short fiction. His work has been featured in such anthologies as the Pushcart and New Stories From the South, and in 2004 he received a fellowship in fiction from the National Endowment for the Arts. He lives with his daughter in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he teaches in the writing program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
