Book Description
John Mitchell was a reclusive first-year law student whose obsessive search for truth and justice forced him to transcend the law of man. Although he temporarily obtained solace from his family, best friend, and girlfriend, none of them could deter him from fulfilling his self-determined destiny. Mitchell's autobiographical account of his journey from iconoclastic law student to cold-blooded killer delves into the dark recesses of an existentialist psyche struggling to find eternal purpose in a materialistic world. It is--paradoxically--at once a celebration of unbridled passion and objective reason, rugged individualism and state supremacy, fraternity and self-imposed alienation.
