About the Author
When Ace Starry was a small boy, his father bought a discarded trunk at a junkyard. Intending to turn the trunk into a coffee table, upon opening it, he discovered several books on magic and a few old props. It was from that moment on that Ace dreamt of becoming a magician. Today he has realized that childhood dream and lived many more. You can see and read much more about his escapes, magic and philosophy at his personal web site: "starry.com".

Mr. Starry has a diverse and interesting background. Though he now resides in New York, he grew up in the Western United States. Born the son of a carpenter in a small agricultural town in Idaho, experiencing both poverty and affluence he spent his childhood in Utah, California, and Texas. His formal education includes the unlikely combination of an Associate Degree in education, a Bachelor's degree in theater, and a Master of Business Administration Degree in marketing. Growing up in the numerous towns and cities, attending seven different grammar schools, a junior high, two high schools, a jr. college, and two universities has given Mr. Starry many insights into life. Today Ace believes that "life itself is the greatest educator."

More than just a professional magician, Ace has worn many hats: a ditch digger, a burger flipper, singer/songwriter, a standup comedian, a carpenter, a plumber, a salesman, a real estate executive, a computer consultant, and even a CEO for a software company. He even spent time as a security guard for "The Greatest of All Time," Muhammad Ali. From these diverse life experiences and education, Ace Starry has developed a philosophy about life he calls "The Philosophy of the Magic Life." Knowing the secrets to magic has given Ace a unique perspective on the secrets to the illusion called life. In this, his first novel, he shares that secret.
