If you love a suspenseful story don't miss Ulterior Motives by Terri Blackstock. It has a compelling opening line that pulls you right in, and the story that follows doesn't disappoint, especially the second half, which will keep you turning pages.
In addition to an engrossing storyline and plenty of suspense, the highlights of this novel include characters you can care about, and a touch of romance. Blackstock depicts the Robinsons as a very real family with very real faults and consequences of their actions to deal with.
The spiritual element of the story is almost absent in the first few chapters then weaved in skillfully as the story follows the search for the real killer. Overall, Blackstock handles the situation the characters find themselves in and the spiritual conclusions they must come to realistically without being heavyhanded.
