Book Description
This romantic comedy pits a middle-aged shop owner, Harry, against the world, as he owns and operates a bait and coffee shop located on a long pier in the Atlantic ocean. Pam, his beautiful counter girl, cook, and waitress, operates the coffee shop in the same shack with Harry. The two engage in a battle of ‘one-liners' that sets the tone for the zany characters that “ring the bell” as they enter Harry's world. The Runyon-like characters are so absurd, that one can't be sure if they ever existed, nor would anyone admit it if they did.
