Having taught in Hounslow, West London, for fourteen years as an arts teacher, Martin Goddard has turned to print. His experiences in Hounslow and Chiswick were very rewarding. He spends much of his time in Turkey and finds it an amazing experience. He encountered a former pupil in a remote village playing pool. He lost diplomatically.
The book follows various ventures of Turks and British ex-patriates in search of two fabled and elusive creatures, the "Gadwall" and the "Fiyu." These creatures emanated from a local Turkish paper, which carried the arresting headline, ‘Tourists can now hunt for the following creatures including "Gadwalls" and "Fiyus."' This moved Mr. Goddard to print.
