How To Survive High School
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
How To Survive High School is aimed at kids who once went to high school, kids who are there now, or those who will be there eventually. Written by a retired teacher who has seen and knows everything about high schools and how they work, the book tells how to pass tests (cheat), play hooky, hoodwink the principal, evade homework, survive parent conferences, and lots of other stuff every kid needs to know to get out of the place alive.
About the Author
Evan Keliher earned a Doctorate in Education and taught successfully in some of America's toughest schools for over thirty years. He is a Marine veteran of the Korean War, has been married to the same wife for forty-nine years, and has never been arrested. He likes cats.
A full-time writer since escaping from his teaching career, Keliher has written stage plays, TV sitcoms, movies, and novels and all of his work includes generous amounts of humor/satire/comedy as well as large doses of irreverence. An earlier version of Guerrilla Warfare for Teachers, a satire on public education, was made into a feature-length comedy film titled Rebel High and his latest book was excerpted in Playboy and Utne Reader.
