Book Description
Step into the mind of writer Bil Romain as he takes you on a magical roller coaster of a ride with more unbelievable characters than you can imagine. Travel with Colin Doremus as he moves from America to Gonnil Ireland. Gonnil is the only spot in all of Ireland where boy's and girls own pigs and Irish myth and legend come to life. Get introduced to Mayor Fitzbister and his daughter Dawn, Cratty Garrett, Miss Milly, MaryAnn and Frances and Willie O'Loney. Say hi to Jack O'Crattey at the post office and Mr. William at the bookstore. Over across from Hoggie park and down from the comic book shop there's the Fitzgibbons butcher store and at the other end is the Aherne Blacksmiths forge. There's Darkeen Ra his friend Bishop and Teal the talking Magpie. Meet Colin's friend Ayala, Colin's pet pig Joan and go with them as they explore the marsh and boglands where Jasper, Pug and the others live. Others that just happen to be Miggies, Mites, Sprites, Brownies and a few Polkas too. There are up and down land Fairies a forest of Dryads and a screaming Banshee. There's a clan of Fachans, a Boggie or two, Gilly Willies, a flock of Easter Chickens and the rottenest swamp hag you've ever met named Meg. Meg is one of the foulest characters that has ever been written on paper. Meg is green, disgusting, and awful and when she aligns herself with Eann, Ellis and Ott Fitzgibbons, the worst boys in Gonnil, no good can come of it. You will uncover the secret of the Manor at the tip of the hill. An eight hundred year old Manor at the edge of the marsh and boglands. A Manor that Colin moves into when his family inherits it, a Manor with secret's all it's own. If you want to truly believe in magic and learn the tale of the simple crown then open the door to the Shamessamson Manor…and step inside.
