A Child's Christmas in Chicago
A Child's Christmas in Chicago
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
Christmas in Chicago back in the forties and fifties was different. The weather was different, the people jarred from their usual concerns, and the things that happened strange, delightful, and often wacky.
There was no stigma attached to being poor, to working with your hands, or to being out of work. We were all in this, whatever this was, together.
About the Author
Thomas Glynn has published four novels and over two dozen short stories. He affirms that he grew up in Chicago and was there to personally witness Christmas as it was observed in his family many years ago.
