UNKNOWN : "Ms. McDavid's writing style is smooth and with a touch of humor."
-- CataRomance
"Reality TV comes to life in this fine contemporary romance filled with humor and a few surprises. This reviewer found it refreshing to read a story featuring a heroine who was so strong in her own right yet willing to be vulnerable as well. Ms. McDavid did a fine job developing characters that engage the reader even when their antics leave something to be desired. Every action of the characters, both main and secondary, proves to drive the plot and there is not a wasted word in the story. In today?s voyeuristic society fueled by the proliferation of reality television shows, this reader found it refreshing to read a story that although based on the genre of reality TV, poked fun at its foibles and found joy in its general ridiculousness. The reader will find themselves drawn in from the very beginning and looking for ways to help the characters circumvent the rules to defeat all the obstacles in their path to true love. A strong theme of always following your dreams prevails throughout the story and provided depth to what would otherwise be just a piece of fun summer fluff. The love scenes are steamy, yet romantic in tone and are not to be missed! If a reader is looking for a great summer read, look no further! X-TREME DATING is just the perfect thing for the beach."

Doody Enterprises : "...Chick lit goes reality TV in this fine contemporary romance starring an interesting ?triangle?. The story line is a lighthearted romp with two likable protagonists forced to tamper down their growing feelings for one another as that is not part of the contract. The story line is fun . . . Readers will laugh with the antics of the cast as Grant takes Park from Justin in spite of the rules."

Book Description
What happens when Survivor meets The Love Connection? Park Evenson is about to find out. She's agreed to be a contestant on X-treme Dating, a hot new reality TV dating show. As a child, when asked to play Truth or Dare, Park always picked dare. Now that she's all grown up, nothing's changed. She leaps from second-story windows without a net, drives at break-neck speed through heavy traffic, and rescues victims from burning buildings. She's a firefighter for the City of Tucson. Grant Hastings came to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming the next Steven Spielberg. When the big break never came, he settled for being one of the best camera operators in the business. Most days, that's enough to keep him satisfied. Until he meets Park. Watching her through the camera viewfinder, he's reminded of why he wanted to be a filmmaker in the first place. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, he must stand idly by while another man does his level best to score with Park. Worse yet, he has to film every move the man makes during the weekend-long date.
